Before the 2023 AMUG Conference in Chicago, the Additive Manufacturing Users Group announced its scholarship winners, and Brent Griffith, who now leads Lucent Additive, was one of them. At the time he was running Labconco’s additive manufacturing program while earning a master’s at Penn State. His research looks at the health and safety questions around printer emissions, an area he hopes will shape future safety standards. He also volunteers time showing kids what 3D printing can do. He shared the honor with Dr. Les Kalman, a dental educator at Western University in Ontario.
