Automotive And Transportation Additive Manufacturing
Design The Fit. Build For Durability.
Make The Vehicle Yours.
3D printed parts for vehicle development, accessories, tooling, and production.
Durable Accessories
Faster Development
Flexible Production
Whether you’re an automaker, a specialty vehicle builder, a restoration shop, or an aftermarket brand, you need parts that fit right, hold up, and get to market fast. Additive lets you develop and produce complex parts without the cost and wait of dedicated tooling.
We help automotive teams make prototypes, manufacturing aids, replacement parts, and tough third-party accessories. Get the process, material, design, and validation plan right, and additive can take a functional vehicle part from early development all the way to repeatable low-volume production.
A Flexible Partner For Automotive Programs
From Concept to Production
Automotive programs are full of quick design changes, vehicle-specific geometry, multiple trim levels, specialty accessories, and volumes that don’t justify an injection mold. Additive gives you an efficient path from early prototypes and vehicle trials to bridge production and recurring low-volume runs.
We run selective laser sintering and polymer powder bed fusion (SLS/PBF), vat photopolymerization (SLA/VPP), and material extrusion (MEX), so we can match the process and material to your part’s mechanical, dimensional, cosmetic, environmental, and quantity requirements, instead of forcing every project onto one technology.
Where We Can Help
Third-party accessories
Vehicle-specific mounts, organizers, switch panels, bezels, protective covers, storage solutions, and equipment interfaces.
Interior components
Trim pieces, vents, clips, brackets, control surrounds, console components, ergonomic features, and customized cabin hardware.
Underhood and exterior hardware
Ducts, guards, sensor mounts, cable guides, splash protection, lighting interfaces, and application-specific brackets.
Development and validation
Form, fit, and function prototypes, aerodynamic models, packaging studies, test components, and design-verification hardware.
Manufacturing support
Assembly fixtures, drill guides, inspection aids, protective nests, line-side tools, and production tooling.
Restoration and service parts
Obsolete trim, low-volume replacements, digitally stored spares, bridge production, and difficult-to-source components.
The Right Process For The Application
Multiple Polymer Technologies
Not sure which process fits? That’s our job.
SLS/PBF
makes tough engineering-polymer parts and complex shapes without support structures, which makes it a go-to for a lot of functional accessories.
SLA/VPP
is great for fine features, smooth surfaces, visual models, tooling, and specialized resins.
MEX
is fast, works with a wide range of thermoplastics, and handles manufacturing aids and larger parts.
We’ll look at loads, heat, UV, chemicals, geometry, appearance, and quantity, then walk you through the tradeoffs before recommending a path.
Strong, Durable Third-Party Accessories
Designed for Real Vehicle Use
Additive isn’t just for show-car models. Designed right and made from engineering polymers, accessories can deliver the strength, toughness, dimensional stability, and environmental resistance many functional automotive applications need.
The trick is matching the material and process to where the part lives. We look at loads, fasteners, heat, sunlight, vibration, cleaning chemicals, impact, moisture, and expected service life, so your accessory is designed for the real conditions it’ll face, not treated like a generic printed part.
Engineering Opportunities
- Vehicle-specific geometry and secure mounting features.
- Ribs, bosses, inserts, and reinforcement placed where loads occur.
- Materials selected for heat, UV, chemicals, vibration, and impact.
- Integrated cable paths, ducts, clips, and attachment points.
- Custom variants without dedicated tooling for every vehicle or trim level.
- Part consolidation and reduced assembly complexity.
Accelerate Development And Testing
Move from CAD to Hardware Faster
Automotive development means tight packaging, shifting interfaces, multiple vehicle configurations, and a lot of subjective fit and feel. We help you get from CAD to hardware fast, so parts can be installed, evaluated, road tested, and revised earlier.
You can try multiple variants without committing to hard tooling. That’s especially handy for aftermarket accessories, specialty vehicles, motorsports, fleet upfitting, restoration projects, and new products that need to prove themselves before a bigger tooling investment.
Support Low-Volume And Legacy Parts
Manufacture What Is Difficult to Source
Specialty vehicles, older platforms, and limited-production models often rely on parts nobody stocks anymore, or that were never worth making in high volume. And aftermarket brands may need several vehicle-specific versions of the same accessory.
Additive gives you a practical option for low-volume, bridge, restoration, and replacement parts without new molds or big inventories. Send us the existing part, a drawing, a CAD file, or a physical sample, and we’ll tell you honestly whether additive is a viable production path.
Engineering And Manufacturing Support
More Than a Print Service
A good automotive part takes more than picking a material and hitting print. We look at the whole application: loads, vibration, operating temperature, UV and chemical exposure, dimensions, appearance, where it’s installed, how it’ll be inspected, how many you need, and the conditions it’ll see in service.

Quality Matched To Your Application
Quality and Qualification
An appearance model, a shop fixture, an interior accessory, an underhood part, and safety-related hardware all come with very different requirements. We’ll work with you to sort out the documentation, material control, traceability, inspection, testing, and qualification your part actually needs.
Material data alone does not qualify a finished component for every vehicle environment. Final design validation should consider the installed location, foreseeable loads, heat, vibration, impact, chemical exposure, UV exposure, flammability needs, attachment method, and the consequences of failure.
Safety-critical or regulated applications require customer approval and an application-specific validation plan before production.
