Consumer Products Additive Manufacturing
Turn Ideas Into Products. Test What Customers Experience.
Build What The Market Needs.
Product-development and production support for brands that need to move.
Develop Faster
Customize Intelligently
Manufacture With Confidence
Great consumer products happen when form, function, ergonomics, durability, and customer appeal all click. Additive gives your product team a faster way to get there, with realistic prototypes, test parts, customized designs, and production hardware, all without waiting on (or committing to) conventional tooling.
We work with brands, product developers, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs across sporting goods, appliances, wearables, accessories, and specialty consumer markets. We bring design support, process selection, inspection, finishing, and repeat manufacturing together, so you can learn sooner, launch with confidence, and keep up as your customers’ needs change.
A Better Way To Develop Consumer Products
From Concept to Customer-Ready Hardware
Some of the best product insights come from holding, wearing, using, and testing a real part. A rendering can’t tell you how a grip feels, how an assembly snaps together, whether a button is easy to reach, how the product balances, or whether it feels high quality. We help you get those answers off the screen and into your hands.
We run selective laser sintering and polymer powder bed fusion (SLS/PBF), vat photopolymerization (SLA/VPP), and material extrusion (MEX), so we can match the process and material to your product’s geometry, loading, texture, flexibility, appearance, environment, lead time, and expected quantity, instead of forcing every project onto one technology.
Where We Can Help
Product development
Concept models, appearance prototypes, functional assemblies, ergonomic studies, design variants, test parts, and pre-production hardware.
Customization and personalization
Size-specific components, personalized accessories, regional variants, branded details, limited editions, and customer-configured products.
Sporting goods
Protective components, grips, guards, mounts, fit-check models, training aids, equipment accessories, and lightweight performance-focused hardware.
Appliances and home products
Knobs, handles, bezels, vents, ducts, brackets, covers, internal components, accessories, service parts, and user-interface prototypes.
Wearables
Fit studies, housings, bands, clips, ergonomic interfaces, protective shells, sensor packaging, and flexible or skin-contact evaluation components.
Accessories and low-volume products
Cases, mounts, adapters, organizers, replacement pieces, collector products, specialty hardware, and digitally stored variants.
The Right Process For The Application
Multiple Polymer Technologies
Not sure which process fits? That’s our job.
SLS/PBF
makes tough engineering-polymer parts and complex shapes without support structures, a strong fit for functional prototypes, sporting goods, appliance parts, accessories, and repeat production.
SLA/VPP
is great for fine features, smooth or transparent surfaces, visual prototypes, flexible materials, molds, and highly detailed product features.
MEX
is quick to iterate, offers reinforced and high-temperature materials, handles large parts, and keeps development hardware affordable.
We’ll weigh loads, impact, heat, chemicals, weathering, flexibility, surface, accuracy, geometry, quantity, and what your customers expect, then walk you through the tradeoffs.
Design Around The Customer Experience
Evaluate What Matters Before Launch
Additive lets you test the details your customers will notice: how a handle feels, whether a wearable pinches, how an accessory attaches, whether the controls make sense, and whether the product feels as good as it looks. You can compare real design alternatives while changes are still cheap.
Teams use this approach for customized sporting-goods interfaces, fit-specific wearable parts, appliance control mockups, realistic packaging and assembly studies, device-specific accessories, and replacement parts for products that traditional supply chains no longer support.
Product Development Opportunities
- Ergonomic studies for grips, handles, controls, and wearable interfaces.
- Functional prototypes that test assembly, movement, impact, airflow, and user interaction.
- Multiple sizes, colors, textures, or configurations for customer evaluation.
Accelerate Development And Testing
Move from CAD to Hardware Faster
Consumer products get better with every round of testing. Bring us a sketch, CAD file, rendering, existing product, or handmade model, and we’ll turn it into real hardware fast, so you can check fit, feel, assembly, appearance, durability, and how people actually use it.
You can try multiple concepts without committing to hard tooling. Compare grip shapes, enclosure layouts, interface details, attachment methods, surface treatments, and size ranges with real users and stakeholders. When a design wins, it can move straight into bridge or repeat production from the same controlled digital file.
Customize Without Conventional Tooling
Serve Focused Markets and Individual Users
Customization doesn’t have to mean handcrafted one-offs or a new mold for every option. With additive, you can build product families with size-specific, user-specific, branded, or application-specific geometry, all from one controlled base design.
That opens the door to personalized sporting goods, fitted wearables, adaptive accessories, device-specific mounts, limited editions, replacement parts, and niche products for markets too small to justify tooling. Approved variants can live as digital inventory and be made on demand.
Engineering And Manufacturing Support
More Than a Print Service
Great consumer products take more than picking a material and hitting print. We look at the whole application: loads, impact, heat, chemicals, UV and weather, flexibility, skin contact, cleaning, dimensions and tolerances, wear, appearance, finishing, inspection, quantity, and how the product will be used day to day.
Application and manufacturability reviews
Design for additive manufacturing
Process and material selection
Prototype production, inspection, testing, and repeat manufacturing
Quality Matched To Your Application
Quality and Qualification
An appearance model, an ergonomic study, a wearable, a sporting-goods accessory, and a finished product customers use every day all come with very different requirements. We’ll work with you to sort out the documentation, material control, traceability, inspection, testing, and qualification your part actually needs.
Material data alone does not qualify a finished component for every consumer application. Final validation should consider foreseeable loading, temperature, impact, flammability, chemical exposure, cleaning, UV or weathering, skin contact, wear, attachment, misuse, applicable regulations, and the consequences of failure.
Production applications require customer approval and an application-specific validation plan.
